My name is Neil Jarrett. I am a certified and fully trained, Gosport based chimney sweep, offering a professional and reliable service. I have been trained and approved by the Guild of Master sweeps, of which I am a proud member, so you can be sure of a quality service, with certificates issued at the end of every sweep for insurance purposes.

For your peace of mind, my Public Liability insurance coverage is £5M. Coming from an Engineering and Military background, my Customers can be assured of a polite and professional service where honesty, attention to detail and respect are at the heart of what I do.

As you might expect, I too use a Log stove appliance to heat my home, so am passionate about all things solid fuel. I have many years of experience in their use, so can give personal advice from setting a fire, keeping the fire going, types of wood to use and how best to store the wood / fuels.

This will include bespoke advice on the nature of the fault(s), if applicable, suggested remedial actions and, where relevant, completion of appropriate documentation. Please note standard sweeping does not include the removal of nests, wildlife, and other blockages from a chimney.

See below for prices and other T&Cs. Specialist Services Bird Nest Removal (Possible Sept – Jan only, by law) – £125.00 first hour, then £25.00 per 30 minutes thereafter. All nest removals include a full sweep and a CCTV Inspection to confirm that the flue is clear of debris. Chemical Tar Reduction – by assessment. This is a chemical treatment applied to a flue that has large deposits of tar or creosote to reduce risk of chimney fire. Inspection and Maintenance Services (carried out whilst on site) CCTV Inspection – Prices from £120.00 per chimney (sweep included) Stove rope replacement (single door) – from £35.00 Stove rope replacement (double door) – from £45.00 Stove brick(s) replacement – Prices vary depending on manufacturer Stove Polish – from £35.00Fire Cement repair – £20.00 Glass replacement – priced on inspection Special attendance fee to replace glass, rope, bricks or polish only, above plus £25.00 Products Carbon Monoxide Alarms – £20.00 supply, £35.00 supply and fit Stove Pipe Thermometer – £12.00 Moisture Meters – £25.00 General Terms & Conditions Payment is due at the end of each appointment, by BACS, PayPal or cash. Gas Fires Some gas fires require disconnection before a flue serving a gas appliance can be swept. This must be undertaken by a Gas Safe registered engineer and is to be arranged by the customer at their own cost. Flue and Fireplace Location/Height Charges: Fireplaces other than those on the ground floor will incur an additional charge of £10.00 per flue. Properties which are taller than 2 storeys in height will incur an additional fee of £10.00 per storey, per flue.
